2015
Pacific Games legacy
Opened as part of the Games Legacy Agreement, establishing a permanent home for racquets in Port Moresby.
2016
POMRC Open begins
Launched the tournament that would become Papua New Guinea's premier racquets championship.
2020
A brief pause
The Open paused during the pandemic; the club remained open for members throughout.
2026
A decade of excellence
The Open enters its tenth year as an official ranking event for Team PNG selection.
Our Legacy
Established through the 2015 Pacific Games Legacy Agreement, POMRC brings international-standard tennis and squash facilities together with a clubhouse built for members, guests, and the wider Port Moresby community.
